Looks like it’s time to bring out the champagne. The country’s most eligible bachelor Ranbir Kapoor is apparently preparing to propose to his girlfriend Katrina Kaif on his birthday

Ladies eat your heart out. Come September 28, Ranbir Kapoor might just let go of his single status. The grapevine is buzzing with rumours of the star planning to get down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

The signs have been out there for a while for everyone to see. Apart from being spotted getting cosy with Kat on their overseas vacation recently, RK also took his girl out shopping a few days ago for some expensive baubles. But instead of a diamond ring, it apparently was just a pair of exquisite earrings.

Says a source, “A lot of hearts are set to break on Ranbir’s birthday. But looks like the man has made up his mind.”

Recently, there was buzz that Ranbir’s parents were not entirely happy with their son’s choice of girlfriend. But looks like all’s well on that end too because of what we know of Ranbir, he is too good a boy to go against his parents’ wishes.

Katrina’s spokesperson rubbishes the buzz and states, “This is not possible because on Ranbir’s birthday, he is going to be promoting his film Besharam and so he will be travelling.”
